A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Payan attended Brown University, graduating with a Baccalaureato in Artibus and majoring in Environmental Studies. She graduated from Baylor College of Medicine where she went on to complete her intern year in General Surgery.
Dr. Payan completed her general radiology training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her fellowship in Neuroradiology at Baylor College Medicine and subsequently successfully sat for the Subspecialty Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology administered by the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Payan joins Innovative Radiology with nearly 30 years of experience interpreting a wide range of medical studies including MRI scans, CT scans, Ultrasound, X-rays and Nuclear Medicine scans. However, her specialty is imaging of the head, neck and spine. She is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
She is married and mother of two active children. In her spare time, Dr. Payan enjoys breeding horses and riding with her daughter.
