ULTRASOUND

Houston Medical Imaging provides full-service ultrasound imaging. These exams include echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, thyroid and breast imaging, abdominal and pelvic imaging, level I and II OB, small parts, endorectal and prostate exams.

FLUOROSCOPY

Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique that uses X-rays to obtain real-time moving images of the interior of an object. A fluoroscope allows a physician to see the internal structure and function of a patient.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a type of scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the body.

BREAST IMAGING

In medicine, breast imaging is a sub-speciality of diagnostic radiology that involves imaging of the breasts for screening or diagnostic purposes. There are various methods of breast imaging using a variety of technologies.

CT SCAN

A Computerized Tomography scan (CT or CAT scan) uses computers and rotating X-ray machines to create cross-sectional images of the body. These images provide more detailed information than normal X-ray images.

NUCLEAR MEDICINE

Physicians use Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures to visualize the structure and function of an organ, tissue, bone or system within the body.

PET/CT

A Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan is an imaging test that helps reveal how your tissues and organs are functioning. A PET scan uses a radioactive drug (tracer) to show this activity. This scan can sometimes detect disease before it shows up on other imaging tests.

BONE DENSITY

Bone densitometry, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry or DEXA, uses a very small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body (usually the lower spine and hips) to measure bone loss. It is commonly used to diagnose osteoporosis and to assess an individual’s risk for developing fractures.

I had absolutely amazing experience with Houston Medical Imaging as a new patient. This team is very professional from receptionist desk to the ultrasound and mammography technicians. I highly recommend this place. State of the art technologies. All personnel is very friendly and caring.
