A native of San Antonio, Dr. Scott Staewen attended Texas A&M University, receiving a bacca-laureate in biomedical engineering.
He graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1987, and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in MR spectroscopy at the University of Minnesota.
In 1994, he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Staewen has been in private practice in Houston since 1995.
He is chief of radiology at Houston Orthopedic and Spine Hospital.
